Where Scottsdale Meets Las Vegas

Developer Kris Templeton is quickly realizing his dream of creating outstanding custom homes throughout his project, The Estates at Lone Mountain.

Buyers have several options for purchasing a custom spec home in the Northwest community. They can opt for an Estate-style home on either a one-acre or three-quarter-acre site by bringing their architect and builder. Alternatively, they can choose a spec property designed by Templeton. The two half-acre gated neighborhoods feature nine home sites and a third half-acre community will open next year. 

Area 5, the first half-acre neighborhood, is nearing successful completion, with only two properties left. The overwhelming demand has prompted Templeton to proceed with Area 6, the next premier half-acre gated community. Area 6 will feature twelve modern architectural designs with six flexible floor plans available in single-story and two-story options.

“We plan to begin construction in Area 6 in the next five months,” Templeton said. “It depends on permitting.”

Templeton's first architectural plans are Virga and Spire, with plans for Mesa and Eclipse to be introduced later. 

Virga is a single-story design that starts at 3,810 square feet and can be expanded to 3,984 square feet with an optional multi-gen suite. It has four bedrooms, a private primary suite with an atrium, four and a half baths and an attached RV garage. 

The Spire starts at 4,569 square feet with four bedrooms and four and a half baths. It has the option of a downstairs multi-gen suite and an upstairs fifth bedroom. 

Templeton plans to hold a special November Open House event to reveal the distinct Spire plan in Area 5. The 4,569 square-foot two-story home at 4337 Cameron Brook Court reflects a refined industrial design. It features four bedrooms with a private primary, an upstairs game room, an office and an attached RV garage. Its beautiful grounds offer mature landscaping, a front and back courtyard, pool, spa, outdoor shower, barbecue with cantilevered shade structure and intimate seating around a fire pit. 

A second Area 5 Spire plan, 4318 Cameron Brook Court, will be completed by the end of the year and feature a different palette of luxurious interior finishes.

Templeton named this plan "Spire" due to the art pieces installed in the home, including a unique piece in the primary bedroom’s entry atrium and another that creates a focal point outside a large picture window. 

Mesa is a single-story home starting at 3,681 square feet, with three bedrooms and three and a half baths. 

Eclipse is a two-story property starting at approximately 4,518 square feet. It features four bedrooms, a multi-generation suite, five baths, and an upper-level covered deck. Some options include a rooftop deck, an alternative four-car garage, or an upper-level multi-generation suite.

“Area 6 will showcase all the new plans,” Templeton said. “We plan to host open houses to unveil each one. Eventually, these will be offered in Area 9 when we debut that community later next year.”

The two half-acre gated neighborhoods feature distinctive contemporary designs, high-end finishes, lighting fixtures, sustainable construction methods, energy efficiency, Control 4 Smart home technology and oversized front and rear courtyards. Each plan features a functional floor plan integrating a formal living, dining, and gourmet kitchen into one expansive space. Floor-to-ceiling windows and voluminous pocket doors open for seamless indoor/outdoor living while drawing in abundant natural light. Several options, including multi-gen suites, RV garages and an optional second story with fifth bedrooms, lofts and game rooms. 

In addition to the high-quality interior finishes and features, exterior landscaping and amenities play a vital role in the design. Every yard is fully landscaped and distinct from its neighbors. 

Templeton designs all the distinct plans and works tirelessly, creating turnkey homes that feel custom. He selects high-quality finishes and design elements to coordinate with the property’s scheme. 

For example, in the Spire plan, Templeton designs and crafts the specific art pieces that go into the home. One art piece, he used a wire wheel brush and a Dremel to handcraft a Saguaro skeleton cactus for the end of a hallway. 

“We are hands-on,” said Templeton. “We do everything in-house and want everything to feel unique and cohesive. We keep trying to create things that haven’t been seen before, so much thought goes into everything we do.”

The high-end development targets buyers who want a private sanctuary with room to expand at a considerable value compared to other luxury communities.

“We’re delivering a luxury product at a great value,” said Templeton. “I’m not aware of anyone out there that can sell their custom homes at our price.”
